21 January: Work on German dementia strategy officially begins

An event to officially commence work on the German National Dementia Strategy has taken place, with stakeholders meeting on 21 January. Four working groups will develop the content of the strategy throughout 2019.

The 29th Alzheimer Europe Conference (#29AEC) will take place at the World Forum, The Hague, Netherlands, from 23 to 25 October 2019. Registrations and the call for abstracts will both open on 1 February.

25 January: VirtualBrainCloud project kicks off

The four-year VirtualBrainCloud project is coordinated by Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and brings together experts in computational neuroscience and systems biology. Alzheimer Europe contributes to the work packages dedicated to ethical and legal issues and to dissemination and coordination.

30 January: Roche halts Phase III studies of AD drug
