We are delighted to welcome MEP Gerben-Jan Gerbrandy (Netherlands) and MEP Rory Palmer (United Kingdom) to our European Alzheimer’s Alliance this month. The Alliance now has 125 members from 27 countries.

Alzheimer Europe (AE) is delighted to have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the European Academy of Neurology (EAN), the principal goal of which is to strengthen the collaboration between AE and EAN.

The Welsh Government has announced a new action plan to help people living with dementia in Wales. The new Plan to transform dementia care in Wales was launched on 14 February by Health Secretary, Vaughan Gething.

On 21 February, Alzheimer Europe (AE) published the 26^th edition of its “Dementia in Europe” magazine. This edition includes an interview with the Portuguese Health Minister about the upcoming dementia strategy for Portugal, highlights from our 2017 conference in Berlin and looks at involving people with dementia in research.
